    I have a .6 ohm flame thrower canister type coil. My question is does it need to be grounded to engine by way of the bracket. My boat never had a bracket when I bought it but I know there is one for these coils

    Here's the thing...I hooked old soliniod back up and wires the way they have been since I bought the boat...fired up...runs smooth...and shuts off with the key

    Alright so then if that's all normal why will it not shut off with green attached...

    Alright...fired boat up...pulled green wire and it stayed running....I shut it down and left green wire off...boat starts and shuts off with key without I terminal hooked up...the voltage at coil positive is sporadic jumping around. Now I'm really confused

    I will check all these...it worked fine for about 4 starts and was shutting off normal with key....and then the next time I tried...no off..

    I removed the green and no power at wire...power at post...there's a little spark everytime I touch the terminal as well

    It's the same soliniod as I had..from left to right I got...battery..s terminal...I terminal..starter terminal

    No it is not hot...the tan is full volts on the I terminal that goes to coil

    I did 1 wire at a time when I swapped...with key out I have 2 wires with power at ignition switch...it's a 3 wire

    I switched out soliniod and it still has 12v full power with key out...ignition switch?
