    Yes, I missed that. Your prop is banged up already....in fact your whole gearcase doesn't look so good. Inspect and correct.....then go test.

    Everything looks ok....when it over rev'd did it sound like it was over revving? Might have an electrical issue that made the tach read incorrectly and bog the motor down.

    Somewhat guessing but it must be a dirty contact somewhere. Key being on is giving it more power and going down requires less amps than going up. My motor the relay steals power from the hot side of the starter solenoid. Look at and clean all contacts including ground. Weird one.

    Either you have a spun prop hub or somehow your cavitating the prop. When you start out and punch it are you trimmed all the way down?

    That about does it.....I usually get a long skinny brush and degrease/clean out the tilt tube. When it's out of the tilt tube try it then....if still hard you will have to purchase a new cable. Good luck.

    Those 3 little holes on the carb body must be open. With air and carb cleaner you can see if they are flowing if you study how to do it.

    I'd say you had a bad switch either internally or on the dash. The pump should only receive power from one source at a time. Does the pump have an auto water sensing switch on it or a manual moving switch?
