    The unit has a AIS receiver. AIS data is shown on the radio display. I see nothing about the unit having the capability to transmit AIS data. Nothing in the PNG listing to support an interface to the outside world, aka A128.

    If a "rubber" roller is marking the boat the material is UV compromised and needs to be replaced. Replace with urethane or thermal plastic that don't mark.

    Shrink tubing is not a viable option in locations prone to submersion and moisture. Adhesive lined heat shrink butt connectors are the only way to go if you need a water proof connection. Crimp, melt and your done...
