    1976 merc lower unit 9.8 110

    In the lower unit behind the prop is a left handed "nut" that holds in the seal and bearing retainer, mine came loose. What if anything keep this tight. Thanks!

    1962 johnson under flywheel

    Just got a 1962 rk-24l, and replaced points and condensers. When I was looking at the base plate where the points go I saw that the plate turns rather freely. I think this advances the timming but when I tryed to start it the plate jumps back and forth real fast. It will start but backfires,then...
