    engine bogs down out of the hole

    I have a 1996 xr2 mercury 225. attached to a fx21 fisher fiberglass boat . When it comes out of the hole its slugges and sometimes it just boggs down. I just got this boat and they said it was sitting for a while. Can anyone give me some advice Thanks Curt

    1996 mercury 225 xr2

    does anyone know the pro and cons on this motor? I was told it pushes 236 hp and it does have a holly feul pump. It runs but stutters and bogs down out of the hole. Its on a fiberglass Fisher FX 21 boat with a jack plate.
