    Eide Boat Loader failure

    I recently loaded my boat with my Eide roof top boat loader. While loading I heard a loud pop and afterwards the gear motor ran with no movement of the rope roller. I removed the motor and it appears to be ok and runs. Shaft does not have any teeth missing. Now I have my boat on my truck...

    Bayliner Santiago gas tank replacement

    I am replacing the gas tank in an old Bayliner Santiago. My question is, does the gas tank serve as hull reinforcement in this boat? It looks like the tank has to act as bulk heads in this area of the boat. Any helpful comments would be welcome.

    Old Bayliner with leak in gas tank

    Attempting to remove the tank. Tank is stuck in the hull and can not figure how to get it out. Any suggestions would be appreciated. This boat is a 1979 Santiago by Bayliner. Please no comments about my old boat. Had to start somewhere.

    Bayliner Santiago gas tank repair/replacement

    1979 Bayliner Santiago. Gas tank is leaking. I assume the floor has to come out to access the tank. Any suggestions on how to begin the process would be appreciated. Also, can I run using a portable above floor tank?

    Volvo AQ200D impeller has lost all flaps

    I have a new impeller ordered. My question is how do I find all the pieces that were thrown out of the pump. Can I back flush the block from the water drains? I know the thermostat housing is a good place to start. Could the shredded impeller parts have been pumped out of the engine? Thanks

    AQ 280 305 chevy exhaust at idle coming out near transom

    I'm new to this so please be kind. Exhaust on this boat seems to be coming out near the transom and not the cavitation opening. Is this normal or do I have a problem. I know that outboards have a bypass for exhaust gases at low speeds. Does the Volvo penta use the same principle? Thanks

    Volvo penta 280 missing trim tab

    I just aquired a volvo 280 and the trim tab is missing. The previous owner had a whale tail or hydro stabilizer installed. Could this be why the trim tab has been removed? The stabilizer has ridges along its length that could effect drift or pull to the port or starboard under way.

    Volvo Penta aq280 305 engine trolling plate

    I am looking for a trolling plate that will work with this outdrive. I think the exhaust on these unit cause a problem with a trolling plate. I do not see why the plate could not be mounted below the cavitation plate. Any help would be appreciated.

    Researching a cover for the rear windshield to stern area on Bayliner Santiago

    I am researching a cover with sides, to make my (1979 Bayliner Santiago) more weather proof for overnighting. Does anyone know where I could find this type of cover. I have seen some on other boats. I do not know if these are custom or can they be found for particular boats?

    1979 Bayliner Santiago with volvo penta 280 and a 305 engine. I know this sounds like a stupid question but I can not find a dip stick. Please no dip stick comments! Any hints?

    insturctions on rebuilding carburetor for 1961 mercury outboard

    Does anyone know where I can get instructions on how to rebuild the carb on a 1961 6 hp mercury outboard. It was my dads and I would like to use it for old times sake.
