I've changed the thermostats, and the impeller. There is plenty of water coming out of the tattle tail, but it still overheats when it runs.<br /><br />As soon as it gets hot, I lose the tach which I assume is the regulator getting hot. <br /><br />Any ideas where to go from here?
I just bought a boat with a 1990 Johnson 200 that has not been run in two years. I changed the impeller, checked the carb bowls, put in new plugs, gas & filters, and changed lower unit grease. What else should be done as preventative maintenance?
