    Merc 9.8 water impeller

    Just pulled my 1976 Merc 110 out from the barn.Fired up ok but im sure the impeller needs to be replaced. Does anyone have pics for this,or a link to an owners manual?:confused: Thanks ahead of time!

    This may be a dumb question,but.....

    What temp is considered " overheating" on a 3.0 Mercruiser? The reason I,m asking is that I,m replacing the exhaust shutter on my 3.0 and when I went to pick up the new shutter the guy said I must have overheated it at some point. I did just about peg the temp about 6 yrs ago due to an impeller...

    before I throw in the towel...any ideas what I,m doing wrong???!!

    Ok...after the 1000th attempt to slide my lower unit back in place,I,m just about pooped! Replaced the impeller in the Alpha 1, everythings back together and trying to slide the lower unit back in place with no luck! I,ve done this before and I know it takes a few tries to get everything lined...

    Just dropped the my Alpha to change the impeller and after I pulled the lower unit and set it off to the side,I saw this laying underneath the outdrive. I,ve done the impeller before and dont recall this plate! Anyone know what it is? I cant for the life of me see where it came from or where it...

    cooling issues on my 3.0...
