    Tiller Adjustment???

    My 8 HP Merc 4 Stroke has a slight problem.When the tiller is in neutral,you cannot pull the starter cord.If I place the tiller in the Reverse position all is well and you can start the engine.Not exactly a perfect scenerio.Obviously it's just an adjustment that's needed.Can anybody help me out...

    Optimax Question

    I've been looking at a few boats with the Merc Optimax 115 HP outboard.Doing some research on that motor I notice that at one time it was a V6 and now it's an inline 3 cylinder motor.Can anyone tell me when and why this rather extreme change in motor configuration was made? Thanks,Dave
