    Should work if it will mount into the same mount you have. Plug in and see if will pair with your puck if it does you should be good to go.

    When radio shack was open I bought a switch that I hooked in to the wires that hooked into the battery for the radio and would shut off when we got home. Worked great for me.

    Looks like you replace the nose cone with the sonar unit in it. Check out there website looks like two different setups. I have the minnkota it came with the sonar already built in it.

    Yes just hooked up a Terrova 55 on my pontoon works wonderful plus has a built in ff. in the head. Also with the spot lock you can sit in one spot without having to drop anchor loving it.

    Fluorocarbon line is less pliable than other lines.

    I once spooled a reel with fluorocarbon line and did not like it lost two fish in a row. Line gets hot and did not hold a knot as well as mono but has a leader I think it is ok for me I stick with mono Maximu mono works for me.

    Great, I did just get a Minn Kota Terrova trolling motor hooked up and it has a F.F. built into it so I can just plug in my old unit and have a f.f. in the front. Bought a new Garmin unit to run on the console plus this one I can mount on the port side that does have a mounting bracket.

    You will need at least a 70 or 80 pd. trust 24 volt motor with the wind and size of your pontoon. I just mounted a Terrova on mine 12 volt 55 pd. trust but my pontoon is 20' what features you want on the trolling motor depends how much money you want to spend.

    You wont will never get a perfect match that is just the way it is your paint is old and the folks that do a paint match have to mix spray and let dry to see how close it is to match up. 1979 there is no code.

    Maybe have them send you a sample piece so you can test drill on it first? Start small and slow with good sharp bits hope it works out for you.

    What motor did you get with it? Get the biggest motor you can get you using it in small bodies of water.
