    my 130 mercruiser runs great from 3000 rpm and lower but acts like its running out of gas beyond that. keep getting rusty crud in copper filter on carb. have installed fuel water seperator also .could the pick up screen be getting clogged under high rpm because the fuel pump is sucking harder...

    130 mercruiser misses beyond 3000 rpm

    i have 130 hp mercruiser w/ points ign. engine runs great all day long at 3000 rpm and lower but beyond that it acts like its missing or running out of fuel. can see its getting fuel so i dont think thats the problem . any ideas would be helpful

    130 hp mercruiser 3.0 still not sure why its bogging after 3000 rpm. could it be lack of fuel pressure from pump? im lost :confused:

    i have a 18 ft sea ray w/ a 130 mercruiser . it runs great from idle to about 2700 rpm. then after about 5-10 second after reaching 3000 rpm or more it acts like its running out of gas. i back off throttle for a few minutes and accellerate againd does same thing otherwise runs excellant under...
