    ballast wiring help

    Would anyone mind making a color coded laymen's diagram of the wiring for a merceuiser 110 from the coil to the ballast.... the manual I have doesn't really give me any help I think it confused me even more. If I bought a newer coil do I still have to use the ballast? Thanks - Josh

    blown head gasket????

    So after getting my mercruiser 470 to start I shut it off. I tweaked some things then went to start it again it ran smooth for about 15 seconds then a very light brown milky colored oil gurgled out Pf the oil vent that connects to the carb. I think it needs a new head gasket.... I may be wrong...

    Where Do The Battery terminal cables hook onto the motor

    I have have a mercruiser 470 and the battery terminal wires (pos/neg)were disconnected from the motor and I was wondering if anybody knows where they connect/screw into or possibly has a picture. I have a manual but it is not very specific of where they actually go to. Thanks -Josh
