    1981 Johnson 7.5 hp starting problem

    Folks, I believe I have the only outboard motor that is afraid of water! I can start it quickly ( 2 or 3 pulls) when it is out of the water, but can't start it at all when its in the water. I believe the problem is in the shifting. When it is not running and in neutral, the prop turns freely...

    Force 50 hp starting cold

    I have a 1988 Force 50hp that has a problem starting cold. I put one shot of starting fluid in the carb and she starts right up. For the remainder of the day it will start right away without using the starting fluid. Any suggestions of this problem and how to fix? Thank you.
