    gear lube in bilge and milky lower unit lube.

    Replaced the water pump last weekend and now I have a new problem. The boat is a 1977 Mark Twain with a 165 hp inboard. I can see what appear to be cracks in the u joint bellows from below the drive. If this is bad which I expect, and the ujoint seal is bad would I have the lube in bilge problem...

    Pressure testing pre alpha outdrive, milky lower unit oil

    How can I test my outdrive at home before taking it to the shop. I got some water in my gear lube yesterday when running on the muffs in my driveway. I just rebuilt the water pump with all new parts. I think it may be getting in at the oring between the two halves but not sure. Any suggestions...
