    My lower unit shift shaft seal went bad and filled lower with water.Ice busted lower unit over the winter. So it needs to be re placed.My out drive has a 1.84 ratio. I can buy a good 2.0 ratio out drive cheap! Is this to much gear for my boat!

    mercruiser 4.3 1-84r 19" prop over reving 5000-5500rpm

    I have a 95 celebrity 180 WITH A 4.3 MERCRUISER alpha one gen two 1.84r.19" prop engine over reving.Is this the correct ratio for the 4.3 205 hp 4 bar carb.
