    O2 Sensor codes . . .

Just getting back to this thread with some follow-up. . . I replace the sensor (post CAT) and it is all good. The sensor was pretty much disintegrated, which leads me to think that the other sensors may need replacement soon. The Post CAT sensor is about $60, but it looks like the...

    Over voltage (again)

I launched the boat today and within moments of starting the engines, I got an over voltage alarm. I had one during the pre-season prep. I cleared it with the Diacom and it was fine throughout the engine running during the rest of the pre-season. Today it reared its ugly head. Per the...

    Birds in the boat . . .

IDK . . . the habitat was pretty well isolated, being the ladder pocket of my boat. If anything, it might have been too small for the parent bird to cover the nestlings. I suspect that their demise might have been from the cold & harsh weather, but hard to tell. Not a bird expert, but I'd say...

    Birds in the boat . . .

Well, it looks like the storm was too much for the birds. This morning, after the last bit of rain stopped, I noticed the parent bird bring food to the nest as they have been doing over the past 1-2 weeks. But then the bird would come back out of the nest with the food still in its beak. This...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Well, I know that I have aged . . . I can no longer contort my body to reach under the engines to check the water intake hose clamps. As I was trying to do so over the past few days, I said to myself . . . . "well that just perfect" I used to not mind maintaining the I/O engines...

    Boat budget question

Not much building yet . . . more in the planning stages. The Admiral may not remember, but after we sold the house (and got well more than our asking price), she said "now you can get your outboards".  I will be working up a (big) budget for that project soon.

New SeaRay owner (Sundancer 250) with some basic questions

Having your boat towed without a towing membership or good insurance coverage can get crazy expensive. I have SeaTow (and have used it) which is predominant in my area.

New SeaRay owner (Sundancer 250) with some basic questions

Welcome . . . A friend of mine has a Sundancer 260 (IIRC), he had the next size up a while ago but sold it and bought the (slightly) smaller one. They are pretty decent boats . . . many of them are under powered with the standard power. What model year is your boat? As mentioned, Club...

    Birds in the boat . . .

I got some close-ups as I was changing the oil today. The bird does not seem to mind the engines running, but quickly vacates when I go up/down on the boat. Let's play name that bird . . . :D Someone mentioned wren. I was thinking finch. . . . Locale is Cape Cod, MA

    Birds in the boat . . .

I have a family of birds living in the swim ladder pocket. . . Looks like there are some new hatchings, based in the number of worms being delivered. . . I've been working on the boat quite a bit over the past few days and the birds (mom & dad I suppose) have been quite cautious. I plan on...

Vinyl Plank Flooring Installation Decision ???

The kitchen make-over is done. A few minor things remain, but it is back in business. . There used to be a double oven/range combo with the second oven above the range (not made anymore). So I went with the double oven (under the stove top) and added the range hood. There was never venting to...
