Apparently the windows are leaking or something for the wood to rot inside. Perhaps you could remove the window and re-seal it, use stainless bolts and crown nuts on the inside.
I get that on some, What I do is pull the stick up a couple inches and let it sit for awhile. Then check the level. The oil in the tube can settle where it needs to be, not on the side of the tube.
I usually install a hose directly to the pump itself. I understand how you can’t get to it. Usually when the tank is just drained there is a few gallons left behind. After winterizing I hook the pump back up and leave all faucets open.
Drain everything, bypass kit on the water heater, disconnect the line from the storage tank and hook up your anti freeze. Run till it comes out of each faucet.
Never had an issue or color change. Usually only a couple gallons is all that's needed. Unless you have a larger system.
Nope. The fuel goes to the bilge if the diaphragm leaks. You want a marine pump with the safety hose that runs to the carb. I'm sure some of the leak will get in the oil but not all of it.
I'm just thinking outside the box here. You could have went to the homeware dept and borrowed a scale, weighed both batteries and see if there is a difference. I've done similar things when at the store comparing items, Forgot to bring a tape measure? they have them in the tool section.
Clean to you and clean to me are two different things. You can wipe the dirt with a q-tip, its not clean. A little hard for me to see damage unless it's cleaned and dry. Brake clean and a wipe down isn't to hard.
