    Ah , I have seen some YT vids on some guy with a 5 acre pond and he was stocking it with Bluegills but they were only an inch or so long . Lots of other fish there to, some just to feed the others , quite interesting :)

    Just a thought but if your engine has projected nose spark plugs maybe change them for normal ones ......after checking out all the good ideas above . Im thinking something is staying hot enough to cause compression ignition if you dont idle it down , and the most likely thing is the earth...

    There used to be a vehicle assembly plant in Nelson , all the vehicles came TKD in a galvanised sheet steel crate . There are probly thousands of sheds and fences made out of the sheet , one part of the motorway there was about a mile where there were only a few fences that were not made...

    Yep , sounds like your in the right area . Is it possible that the kill switch is working when in start pos. Im thinking that the extra wire is probly there to fix another fault rather than buy a part so someone has been in there . Id be suspicious :)

    I would be looking at the power supply to the ignition system , sounds like maybe the power is being cut to ignition when you turn the key to start . I would look at the ignition switch 1st, use a meter or test light to verify power to ign both when in the on position and the start position...

    There is a BF hill in Dunedin Stuart st steep as hell and there is a set of traffic lights half way up , Hill assist was nirvana after hill starting a Ford Capri and a ducati with a talllllll 1st gear and a clutch like a trigger . I used to pray those bloody lights would stay green...
