    Motor Won't turn off sometimes

    1974 50 hp wont turn off

    I have a 1974 50 hp johnson non-tiller type controls. When i turn the key to the off position nothing happens and the motor keep running, also the auto choke does not work ether. Last year i replaced the ignition switch trying to fix this with no result. Any ideas? Thanks

    73 50hp wount turn off

    I swaped my motor from an old tri-hull boat to a newer v-hull but now when i turn off the key it stays running and the only way it turns off is to choke it to death but the choke on the key is still working Help! 1973 50hp powershift
