    Tablet Decisions

    Going to get a 7" size tablet. My choices are between the Google Nexus 7", Amazon Fire HD and the Apple iPad Mini. The Samsung is off the list because of the screen resolution. I was dissapointed that the Apple doesn't have GPS with its WiFi only model but may pay the extra money for the 4G...

    Gas Price in Calif

    This is what we are dealing with now. http://www.dailynews.com/breakingnews/ci_21698765/gas-shortage-shutters-costco-stations-simi-northridge-and Over $5 at some stations right now. We have summer blend until Oct 31 and there is a shortage of it until winter blend is allowed to be sold.

    Going with my 3rd refi in less than 2 years. No cost loan(nothing at all out of pocket and nothing added to loan amount) for 2.875% 15 year. I did have a 4% 30 year that I was paying down with extra principal payments so that it was already like a 15 year so decided to go with the shorter term...

    Wall Heat Pump

    I have a 110V through wall heat pump(cool and heat) in my rental guest house which is not cooling well anymore. Most of the ones I see out there are 220V. The unit fits into a 24" x 16" sleeve. Would really like to get one that fits in the same sleeve. Any suggestions?

    Anyone use StraightTalk for Cell service?

    I just found out about StraightTalk mobile service. Basically, its GSM and they lease the ATT network. The cost is $15 for the sim card(one time charge) and $45/month for unlimited data, voice and text. I for one don't see a downside other than the possibility of data throttling after 1.5GB...
