2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

My salary kept up pretty good until 23 or so. A 15$ an hour increase may put me to about the same buying power I had 3 years ago... the more infuriating thing is they company did good by helping the people that came in behind myself or who have been here a long long time... but the people in the...

2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

Completely forgot about that. Well as it stands then, as long as the powers that be and all others are okay with it, I'll gladly pass the torch to Joe as long as he's fine with it. :)

2025 Splash of the Year Nominations!

I actually haven't heard from Joe. (hope all is well) I was going to tag @Racer223 And @TRH299 to see if they had any interest. I just again... kind of forgot. As of right now, this too may end up being a next year event.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

My municipality doesn't even own plow trucks any more. They subbed it out at $200/hr and we got guys trying to plow 2 feet with a half ton... came out lovely. I feel you Ted.

Mercury Tempest, Turning Point Mach 3 or Michigan Wheel Apollo?

I haven't seen or heard anything.

    SNOW Common Sense

It's the wet slush in the puddle at the curb cut every time. Had it happen 5 times yesterday. Couple taps with a dowel usually gets it.

    Been a little cold.

You just need to find more creative activities to do.

    SNOW Common Sense

I usually am more concerned for the cover. So I waded out waist deep and brushed mine off. :)

    SNOW Common Sense

Mine has been on a roller 40 years... no issues yet. It's seen worse. Of course I may have spoke too soon. :ROFLMAO:

    SNOW Common Sense

They're calling me at 2 feet with 6 inches left to go.... I'd say it's pretty close. My house fell right into the "sweet spot". Dad shoved before I got home I took a turn around midnight and at this point I don't know if I should go now or wait. It's really not as wet of a snow as I was...

    SNOW Common Sense

I'm not going anywhere unless I have to.

    SNOW Common Sense

Filled up the blazer (plow) the other night. Blowers are good. We had an old Murray unit with a square chute. That clogged no matter what you did, just got too restricted with the wetter snow. Everything else got tuned up last storm. I'm going on the trike in the woods when I punch out.

    SNOW Common Sense

Every storm has hit on my scheduled on days this year... (critical infrastructure) maybe I need to take a vacation so I can actually enjoy it instead of dreading the drive home.

    Finally. Some warm times.

My commute home tonight is going to suck a little extra I think.

    Been a little cold.

I can see the front yard. The forecast changed again and I'm upwards of 30 now....great. maybe I call out.

    Been a little cold.

This is what I walked into work to... Current projection for my area is 20+... I'm not staying here overnight tomorrow.

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I like the foam. When I did my stringers and deck I just tabbed them in in one shot when the edge was bedded in PB so it was a wet tab on the wet PB and the roller made the filet. Obviously it's unrealistic to have done that for you project. In the spots I didn't do that foam would be much...

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

I had to double check the brochure for the mercs I got from the show but it matches their site, quotes 695 for the V10 with the big gearcase... And regardless we're talking a total weight difference of what~120lbs. Pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things anyway. :)

    I/O (Sterndrive) Conversion to Outboards

Thought the mercs were under 700... or did they exaggerate a wee bit?

Jersey. But after sitting around 10 for 3 weeks it feels lovely. :ROFLMAO:
