One fuel line to two engines

Most small out boards have a quick connect right at the motor, so why not just unplug the fuel line when not using the kicker ? Years back I added a primer bulb to the fuel line on my I/O as it had a 10' long run to the tank. When I had my safety unspection, the inspectors saw it and said it...

    SNOW Common Sense

If you're he hull and super structure are solid then no way would it cause an issue. However, if the wooden structure is rotten then the fiberglass could fail and the roller could damage the hull. Neighbors have an old boat in their junk pile and the rollers or what's left of them have broken...

    Water pump parts

If you have a local marine dealer, take a drive and get your parts local....they might even give you some tips that make the job easier ! Some day you might need that dealer, and it pays to be a familiar face. My local service shop only charges a few dollars over internet prices for real...

    Lowe 185 Ski & Fish with Verado 150 – bow won’t lift

Move some weight out off the bow, check for water live free foam in the bow. Is there a hook or a curve in the keel ? Cab plate looks a little high but not enough to cause an issue. Will the motor trim out further than shown in the last pic ( leg further away from the transom) ?

    SNOW Common Sense

I have owned a snowblower since the 1978 blizzard...never have I had a clog that would not unclog itself by just backing up. Yes I do spray everything with some slickery stuff......NEVER have I even thought about sticking my hand in there ! Just shows " you can't fix stupid"....

    Lowe 185 Ski & Fish with Verado 150 – bow won’t lift

I have used this setup for 60 years and it has always worked well. Trim the motor until the cav plate is parallel the the hull. Use a long straight edge to come off your hull and adjust until cav plate is parallel. Now measure the cav plate....is it above or below or even with the bottom...

    90 Mercury 40HP motor

Due to the popularity of walleye and Perch fishing, boating is extremely popular in my area. We have no issues finding people to work on two strokes. Most of the bigger marina's stay with the bigger four strokes but plenty of smaller service places to get your two stroke serviced as there is a...

    90 Mercury 40HP motor

I have the 1992 version of this outboard, oil injected and never an issue. Yes the magnet came off the float in the oil reservoir so that alarm is dissabled, but I simply top off the oil tank when I fill my 18 gallon fuel tank. As far as parts go, no problem, local marina/ parts depot has...
