    Simplest 2 Battery Setup?

I would thinks so. Does the other end of the heavy black wire attach to the engine block?

    Need More Bling

Pretty sure you need a set of Truck Nutz on that beauty. Nothing says 'class' like Truck Nutz. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Outdrive does not want to re -install in boat

Seems like every second or third time I'm reinstalling the drive it wants to fight me. That's what happened a couple of nights ago. The darn thing just didn't want to go on. After much sweating and huffing and puffing, and saying many bad words, I got the thing on. Only after I had torqued...

1986 Bayliner Capri 2150 Bowrider - Rear Seating

Banging/knocking/tapping on the structures is meaningless. You really need to drill. I hope you find light, dry shavings, but don't be surprised if they are dark and/or wet. Many of us have been there... Good luck and let us know how the samples look!

Is the best way to repair this on the bottom of my Hull

I'd poke that fiberglass with a screwdriver, and if it's solid (which I bet it is), I'd cover it, add a keel protector, and be done with it. MarineTex or gelcoat paste will both work, but the epoxy will be considerably harder to sand and shape.

    1998 Bayliner Capri floor.

I'd be willing to bet that whatever work you do, mistakes and all, will still make for a better boat than when it was new.

    Simplest 2 Battery Setup?

I added one of these a few years ago, and it really wasn't hard. It did "encourage" me to clean up the boat's wiring, install a proper fuse panel, buss bar, etc., and doing all that was much more fuss than simply adding the kit.

Thoughts on a 2005 Doral Thundercraft 240 Magnum?

Personally, I would not be too worried about either the 3 hour drive or the defunct boat builder. Being willing to travel a bit greatly expands the choice available, so it might be well worth a day of driving round trip. Also, the engine and drive are very common and well-known, so...

Is the best way to repair this on the bottom of my Hull

I'd probably use gelcoat paste, but Marine Tex should work. If you plan on beaching like the previous owner, you'd be smart to get KeelShield.

    1998 Bayliner Capri floor.

How big are the pockets and how many? If the concern is just prevent water intrusion (rather than being concerned about the integrity of your lamination), you can inject resin into the bubble and fill them up. The injection won't work if a large proportion of the lamination is bad, but if you...

    Trailer Guide Ons DIY?

I have a similar type of trailer and that's where I mounted my guide poles, but those are mainly for visibility, not for guiding the boat. Most of the bumper- or roller-style guide ons I've seen are mounted directly to the trailer frame, not to the diamond plate.

    Boat lift options?

We bought a Renogy 100w kit for our cabin, and it has a nice controller and everything you need. They have 200w kits in the $300-400 range.

1986 Bayliner Capri 2150 Bowrider - Rear Seating

Welcome to iboats! Given that you have an '85 Bayliner with a floor that needs replacing, I'm going to be the first to hazard a guess that this boat will need a lot more than a floor and bench seat repair. Bayliners of that vintage were notorious for poor construction and a search of the...

    Vinyl Seats Bubbling Up

I've seen some bug sprays that will really do a number on rubber and vinyls... I had a bottle leak in a golf bag once, and it dissolved rubber golf club grips, vinyl accent panels on my golf bag, etc. I wonder if it could have been caused by some sort of chemical solvent, with the action maybe...

    Test Splash?

I am not sure I see any advantage in doing that... are you concerned about leaks in any place other than around the keyhole? I'd also be worried about flex without the deck and foam.

    Painting tube trailer frame

Another option would be to looking into FluidFilm or WoolWax and their application gear. They have applicator wands built to get into frame tubing. Works great on truck undercarriages, I think it would work fine for a trailer frame. The stuff does need to be reapplied from time to time, but I...

    Scrape in Fiberglass Hull

I almost wonder if you'd have better luck with gelcoat paste. I think it would apply easier than MarineTex or PC11 or similar, and it also gives you the option to color match the patch (or at least get closer to the gel color). I've used this stuff (below); it's easy to apply and looks pretty...

    Remove Deck carpet to fiberglass

I don't know, Scott, I can kind of see it... the carpet glue residue left behind on my boat would not yield to a wire brush. It was hard as heck and had to be ground out with 60 grit disks. I do think your idea is superior in that it doesn't add weight or an extra layer, but depending on what...
