    Your correct it's the oil pressure switch When cranking the starter supplies power to pump until it starts. Once oil pressure builds that switch sends power to pump, and yours is not do it. Great diagnostics

    Your loosing spark and that's electrical Use a meter on the + side of the coil and see if that goes away when it dies

    Understand but using all thread rod makes it easier 3/8-13 all thread about 6 inch long. Remove to outer most bolts on mans and screw in all thread. Remove remaining bolts then slide mans off. Replace in reverse order. No need to hod all the weight just to get the bolts in

    I'm easing away from VL because it happens so fast and pressure being at 10 psi. Most VL happens when its a hot day, stop for a hour or 2. Go to restart and it goes but soon as throttle up it dies and then it won't start but will cough every now and then, happened to me a few times before...

    You could blow air into the hoses to see if anything else comes out, would be no issue. Taking a run around the block IMO would have little effect if any.

    The tanks use a float with reed switches, and pressing the water or holding tank buttons sends power to that float. Need to check for 12V to the push button switches
