    There are no "chips" the motor is already putting out a fair amount of power. To put out more you need to go bigger with the motor, change cam, or you can add a blower..... All will require the use of MEFI burn and remap the ECM Drop to F4 props

    What butchering? Other than coming with a fuel feed and most likely needing to be gone thru from sitting. I don't see any "butchering"

    there may be a 3/8" NPT port in the manifold, however generally, Marine engines do not have a vacuum source as it is not needed. the easiest way to set RPM is with an unlit propane torch and a tachometer. wave the unlit torch over the carb opening. if the RPM's increase, you are running a bit...

    you will be fine. when I moved from Wisconsin to Florida, my 2002 SeaRay with a 5.0 operated at the same temp in Lake Michigan 40F water as it did in Gulf of Mexico 95F water. that little thermostat will do its job.
