    Can't get reverse to engage on a 1994 25 HP Yamaha

    I just changed the water pump impeller on my 1994 25 hp Yamaha. I hooked everything back up but now I can't get reverse to engage. I've tried adjusting the nuts on the shift rod, but all I can get it to do is grind but not engage. Does anyone know what I can do to fix it? Thanks.

    Does anyone make a replacement skeg for a 25 hp Yamaha?

    I broke the skeg off my 1994 25 hp Yamaha outboard and have been looking for a replacement skeg on-line. It looks like they don't make them for motors under 30 hp. Has anyone ever had any luck fabricating a skeg replacement or found a replacement for a 25 hp? Thanks.
