    just want to drop back in and update. with the 'new' house and all the work i've been doing this thing is great. Lasts all day, clipped to my hammer loop on my pants, goes with me instead of staying in the garage. If thats what you are after, $60 aint nothing.

    Mercury outboard motors have the primary serial number tag on the transom bracket (often starboard/right side), a secondary auxiliary plate near the steering/swivel area, and a hidden backup stamped on a freeze plug on the engine block
