    So it sounds like you need to fire the motor up more often to keep fresh clean fuel in the carb bowls. carb bowls are vented to atmosphere and will allow the fuel to slowly evaporate OP is correct running a multi carb motor until it dies is not good, because some cylinders will be running lean...

    either put a shut off valve in fuel line, turn it off, and then drain the carb bowls so no fuel sits in there and evaporates leaving residue behind, or fire up the motor often to get fresh into the carbs. if you let it sit for months without firing it up you need to drain the carbs

    you can also try blowing compressed air up the tell tail outlet, while running on muffs or in a tub to see if that changed the spray pattern of the tell tail

    I have no idea what you mean it seems a big tighter. can you explain? even if you meant a bit tighter, I have no idea what is tighter. and I would be looking for codes to tell you what is bringing in the check motor light

    Check for 12+ to the start device(button or key switch) to make sure that has power. if it does not trace the wiring back to see where it is being lost. if it does have 12V+ then chase in the other direction if the other side of switch gets power when operated

    My guess is #11 is the hose and #12 is the jet inside the hose. Pump has to have a fuel hose into pump and a fuel hose out of pump, and the pulse hose to make the pump operate

    I guess I was correct in the #11 hose/line being the pulse line to the pump. strange that the OP does not understand what he is seeing

    there is only one line to the carb, and that is for gas to fill the carb bowl the pump has 3 lines, the pulse, the fuel into pump and the fuel out of the pump to the carb

    you did not answer my Question. there are 3 lines going to the pump. look at that diagram and see if #11 is the one you are talking about

    apparently that hose connects to the fuel pump, not the carburetor istself, did you check on the diagram for the fuel pump? it shows 3 hoses is it the line #11 on that diagram?
