I have a pair of 2001 VP 8.1GSiI-A,V drives, approx. 1300 hours. Have a whistling noise from port engine that gets worse in gear from a little above idle up to about 3000/3500 RPM under load, then starts to diminish above that. Certainly sounds like a intake leak at or downstream of the throttle...
