I purchased and installed an alternator kit from Breezeworks a short time ago. I believe it is called a three wire alternator.

86/87 470 power plant s/n: A614866 Alpha 1 outdrive s/n OA662752. Just replaced the impeller and housing.

Like many others in the past, my 86/87 470 almost caught fire this week due to a failed regulator (original water cooled regulator), so I am looking at an alternator conversion kit install and was wondering about any clearance issues that will come up.
