I have an OMC Cobra 5.7L (Chevy 350) in a Bayliner ‘88 Ciera. After successfully doing an electrical fuel pump conversion, I went to switch into gear, upon which it stumbled momentarily and then there was a pop and plume of smoke came from the engine bay.
