I have a 1977 Johnson outboard motor and just replaced the fuel tanks with an Attwood fuel tank and fuel line and pump. The quick disconnect fitting doesn't plug in on the motor end as there is a tab that interferes with the plugging in the end that appears to be metal. Can this tab just be cut...
