I am having trouble turning engine by hand I plan on pulling plugs and trying to turn by hand weather has been a factor in being able to work on it

I have a 2005 4.3 mercruiser a I had a new engine installed the business set the firing order up like a Ford engine with #1 being on the left facing the engine I know this is the second engine this company installed this way. WHAT DAMAGE WOULD THIS CAUSE this engine it has about an hour to 2 hrs...
