I have a '99 Yamaha F50TLRX. When I first took it out of storage this spring I trimmed the motor all the way up to move it, but it would not trim down. It would only click under the cowling. I used the manual release to lower it and did it again with the same results. I talked with a friend...
I have a '99 yamaha 4-stroke 50hp. This is a rookie question, but, when checking the oil in the lower unit should it run out the top plug when removed if full. I lost some when i fumbled the bottom plug while checking for water.

I had a compression test pulled on a '95 E'rude 150 by a mechanic. I am thinking about buying this boat. The readings were: 1:105psi; 2:95psi; 3:102psi;
4:104psi; 5:101psi; 6:88psi. The owner says it was rebuilt 2 years ago. It drives pretty good, plugs look good. It ran over 60 mph easily...
