wood of caution. I have never had a set of points fail. I have had 3 pertronix conversions fail (that is 0-3 for pertronix), and I have had an ignition trigger fail on the mercruiser and 2 on the mallory distributor. I would keep the points myself. and just set the dwell every spring.

use a dwell meter to properly set points. feeler gauges only get you close
