Okay thank you. I wasnt sure with it being a old engine. Do you run any zinc additive?

Thank you! Water pump was replaced last summer. I was looking for the engine oil type.

It is a 3.0L 4 cylinder 140 hp model. I was wondering what kind of oil I should be running it. Thank you.

1979 OMC 3.0 stern drive shift cable hook up

The previous owner was in the process of replacing the throttle and shift cables and left the shift cables discounted. I can't seem to figure out how to hook them up properly to be able to shift in all gears. I can't find much online about it either. Does anyone have and tips or tricks on how to...
