    rebuild carb dt 60

    I cleaned my carbs with spray carb cleaner and compressed air from compressor, I don't think it worked very well. The Suzuki shop manual says not to dip in cleaner, I do my mercury with no problems. There's not much to clean on this carb. Has anyone out here dipped theirs and let soak ???

    Just bought a pontoon boat with 60 suzuki s/n 06001 301382 dt 60. Not sure if last numbers mean its a 82 year model. Missing the motor cover any clue were to get one. nothing on e-bay Thanks

    1986 24 ft Sylvan Pontoon hardtop

    1983 Mercury 80 hp

    My old prop has the # 48-65588-19 on the end, I ordered a Solas Amita 1411-130-19 from iboats, The new one is 1" longer and the blades look larger also. I don't want to put on till I'm sure due to return policies. Iboats say this iscorrect prop. Will the 1" make a differance ????

    1983 Mercury 80 hp fuel pump

    I bought a repair kit for my fuel pump from a local Mercury dealer, when I opened the fuel pump, the diaphragms was split and one of the check valves was in wrong (both facing up) and one was mashed because of being in wrong. Went back to dealer and he sold me another kit with the check valves...

    80 merc boggs down

    I just bought a boat with 1983 80 merc. Would not start , put in shop replaced control box, went through carb, changed gas and filter. Starts great, first crank every time, jumps out of water no problem at 5500 rpms but starts bogging down with in 50 feet or so. Shut down takes right back off...
