    evinrude 85 crank wont turn but not seized

    55793 stuck in gear

    Busy day here, I also tore into my 1969 55hp selectric shift. It is stuck in gear. I ohmed out the coils and they are both 7ohms, I know forward is the default gear but is there an oil pump inside I need to contend with? Cranking over without fuel in the tank the prop turn and seems to slip...

    Type C vs HiVis

    Hi there, I have a 55hp mechanical shift approx 1974 here. Is type C interchangeable with the Hi Vis type oil. I would imagine yes since they have the same gear sets but would like to hear from a pro. I knkow electric shift requires ONLY type C but the question is vise versa.Thanks in advance.
