    Well It Turned Out ..terminable

    the tower of power ...bit the dust......cheap 2 cyle oil..is what my mechanic says..my fault...scoring on all the pistons...and a wrap..just before we shut her off...6 and a half years..almost 7..mostly in the ocean...was a 115 meant for salt.??....i tried!!!

    87 115 merc I6 awesome for 2 years... this last winter i asked about no fuel gauge no tilt no crank...all said check ground at fuel tank...done now i blow fuses on starboard side...same result as above...what now???kev

    starboard side fuse in my tower of power keeps blowing

    clams:last year ,at the end of the year i had prob...i kept losing gas gauge and tilt trim...engine wouldn't fire ...not sure if you said to check ground on fuel tank but several did...we re did all wires to fuel tank(3)..now EVERYonce in awhile i blow the fuse that seems to control the gauge...

    inline 6 lower unit (merc 115)

    i found a lower unit on ebay, NOS he"believes" it fits older inline 6 or four mercs..it does,from the pics, look exactly like mine...??? and problem..casting# is 16236051 casting fleetmaster 21 1/2 inch 8 spline,will it work on my serial# OA730776 inline 6 115 merc..my unit is still on motor so...

    no power trim, no fuel gauge,no crank

    clams.. my 86 or close 115 inline 6 ..got funny on me the last of the season...sometimes i would lose fuel gauge ,if i cut it off i had nothing...no tilt no crank...if i left it running no gauge...no tilt ...but running...my buddy had a 200 merc he said it was a solenoid on the starboard...

    no tilt/no start/no fuel gauge

    rebuilt 87 115 merc flawless for almost 3 years of predominant salt water.3 days ago no start..finally caught took it home..changed shifter cables...hooked batt back up...tilt ok crank ok...added h20,ran it, went thru gears, aok..plans for short run ..trimmed up...tried down ...nada...no crank...
