    Can a bad fule pump make the same noise as a loose valve on a Yamaha 4 stroke?

    Hi I have a 2004 F75 4 stroke that is making a tapping sound above 3500 rpm at about the same place the fuel pump is located on the valve cover it sounds just like a loose valve tapping the engine was running quite and all of the sudden it has this noise.
