Welcome aboard everyone!
I for one am very pleased to see so much interest in these boats. They really have stood the test of time. It's also nice to see so many of you folks caring to restore them.
This site , I consider to be the BEST MFG site in the world! Everybody here is like family...
The dash on my boat has a recessed area. In the corner is a small drain fitting. Seems to be rubber or nylon. I'd like to replace it, and add another in the opposite corner.
I've looked at impact drains for things like anchor lockers and live wells, but they all seem a bit too large. The...
OK guys,
That's the question that's been buggin' my brain this week! All winter long, I've had these Grandiose plans to get my boat in the water this year! When the decent weather finally came, I get squat accomplished!
Soo many things pulling at my time. Yard work! I've been avoiding it as...

Hey guys...
Sorry for the long absense. It's been just plain nutty 'round here. Spent the last 2 weeks running around looking for a new truck. My Chevy S10 finally bit the big one! And with the holidays and such, well........Anyway, I'll get back here real soon. I promise to answer your...
Has anyone ever removed a top deck from a MFG? They seem to be glued on, no fasteners at all. What I'm really curious about is how was it re-attached
I am almost at the point were I need to buy new control cables (shift/throttle). Can anyone out there who has a 1967 or newer Edinboro tell me what length cables they have?
I've measured for mine, and know it's going to be either a 14 or 15 footer. I've also Googled most websites on the net...
In April here in the northeast, we get a couple of good days and then some lousy ones.... I'm chomping at the bit to back working on my boat. But, I'm still a little reluctant to pull the winter cover off. Anyone up this way been brave enough to go for it?
Thought I'd never say that! It's been such a nasty, cold winter here in New England, that it's good to see snow melting. :D Don't think I'll feel the same way when the black flies come though!
Guys,
I varnished my last wood project, with less than decent results. So this time, I considering using Cetol Light with Cetol gloss over it. Seems easier and much less dry time.
Anyone have some thoughts on this product? Do I thin the initial coat like varnish? Special brushes? Tips or...
Guys,
It's been awhile since I posted anything....... So here's why.
My computer has been on life support for a few weeks. Can't do much with it. Just trying to recover some stuff.

Hy Guys,
I would like to know, "if" I can edit my thread's title to better explain some of the progress I've been making on my re-build. Thanks for your help :)
Guys,
My old Merc motor has an aluminum wrap-around cover with some dings in it. I'd like to fill these and repaint. Should I be looking for any specific type of filler? Also, the cover flexes a bit when it goes on and when taken off. Should that matter:confused:
