    Water pump impeller

    I am changing out the water pump on my 1984 70 hp evinrude. The old impeller is slotted with a keyway and the new has a plastic half round which seems to be desined for a "flatted" shaft rather than a keyed shaft. Is this new impeller correct? Am I to to assume they are a one type does all now...
