    lower unit spaghetti seal...

    When you replace the seals in the lower unit, is it OK to put a little grease in the slot where the spaghetti seal goes, or should you just put the seal in the slot by itself and bold it together like that?<br /><br />'67 evinrude 9.5 hs<br /><br />thanks.

    '67 evinrude lower unit

    Hi,<br />I'm having a little trouble with my lower unit on my outboard. It's a hardly used '67 9.5 evinrude.<br />I recently changed the seals in the lower unit because the oil was getting milky, and I don't think it'd been done in a while (if ever).<br /><br />I took it all apart just fine...
