    1972 mercury 50 hp no spark need help

    I hav e tried to start my mercury 50 hp I got a couple weeks back. I had to replace alot of the internal wires do to them so brittle and breaking when you touched them. No that there are all new wires I cant get the motor to run . I have no spark at all. my serial number on the motor is 3350213

    What motor should I use

    I have a 14ft center console. It came with a Johnson 48spl but the motor needs alot of work. I have a mercury 65 hp that I can put on it. SO my question is should I use the Mercury 65hp or fix the Johnson 48 and use it.
