    30 hp evinrude temperature sensor causing surging

    My engine was surging, I found the cause was the temperature sensor on the block. When I disconnected the wire the engine runs fine. When I put my hand on the head it feels cool and the tel tale is working fine.I rather not run it without the sensor. Any ideas?
