    I finally got my first boat, and...I lost the key!!! :eek: Are there universal keys? I have a 1977 Merc700-70hp. The ignition is in my throttle part. Can I replace just the key part or do I need to replace the whole throttle? If i can replace the key part...does anyone know the part...

    new boater

    I have a 1977 700 Mercury, 70hp. This is first boat. Engine Idles and will go very slow..but as soon as I try to excilirate engine turns off. Can anyone give answers to this problem...so I can get it fixed?..Also I would like manual or some info about this engine. Thanks
