    Help me with my stator wiring Please....

    I have a 402 40 horse 2 cyl. I have 4 wires on old stator 1 brown, 1 black and 2 yellow. I am seeing the diagrams for the stator but it shows 1 blue, 1 red and 2 yellow. Do I assume that my black wire should go where it shows the blue going. And my brown wire going where it says the red wire...

    Engine cover (band) interchange question

    I have a 1973 402 40hp motor that the cover or band is at the bottom of our local lake. Does anyone know what other motors share the same cover such as a 400 or 500 or 650 etc: I am trying to buy another but can't find any 402 specific parts. Thanks
