    no reverse on 40 hp johnson

    I have a 1993 40 hp johnson this weekend I was out on Fri and when I put it in reverse it seemed to skip ok kick Sat. it got worse but the end of the day it would not kick in much. When I had it on the trailer in drive it locked up in reverse it wanted to slip over any ideas?

    How to tell if motor is pumping water

    I have a 92 johnson 40 hp. the problem is out on the water when it is in the teens. I shut the motor down and restart it later the water tube is froze till it builds up a little heat. I can see water spitting out of the to of the lower unit under the power head cover. Any other way to tell?

    1996 evenrude 40 hp no top end power

    I have a question about my 96 evenrude 40 hp. it is on a 16-6 foot lowe deep v boat with 3 people in it used to plane no problem now it seems not to come up to top end. It has a new power head last year runs and starts fine. The prop on it 11 3/4/ x 17. The air temp now is around 30 we use it...
