    Evinrude/Johnson bolt pattern

    Does anyone know if a johnson/evinrude 70hp outboard motor has the same bolt pattern as a 1993 40hp johnson. Thinking and swapping the 40hp johnson with a 70hp johnson and dont want to drill new bolting holes.

    Mercury 80hp carb kit floats

    Anyone have any problems with the newer style (white floats) in the new carb kits. I bought two kits to do both carbs and it just seems like they don't float as good and shut the gas off like the older bigger floats. This was on a 1983 mercury 80hp inline motor.

    Prop size help ?

    Could somebody please tell me what size this prop is ? It's off a 1983 Mercury 80hp inline and the prop is aluminum. On the side of prop I found these numbers. 48-77342-H10-15P I figure it's a 15 Pitch prop but what dia is it???? Thanks a million in advance for any help.

    Clamp covers !!!

    What is the secret to getting these things on right? The springs seem to strong to me and makes it very hard to lock that end of the cover in. Im about to forget them. Thanks in advance and this is on a 1983 merc 80hp.....
