    When i'm on plane and throttle down slighty to where the boat is halfway out of plane I thottle back up to get back on plane and have no acceleration.     1984 150HP Sticking throttle advance

    The throttle advance is sticking just a little bit making it bog down when i thottle up for a second. Will WD-40 free up any gum?

    1984 150HP lower unit oil (middle phillips head screw)

    There are 3 screws in the lower unit. I filled it up with oil until it came out of the middle screw (phillips head screw). What is the top screw for? I've read forums that said the middle screw is a "shifting fork screw" and should not be removed. We'll.....it WAS remove and filled to that...

    1984 150HP Fuel pump part/air leak, see pics

    I fired up the motor for the 1st time getting ready for spring, it had a rough idle!! Found the air leak (it's a crack) at the fuel pump where the main fuel line ties in from the gas tank.     1985 150hp Johnson:Water deflectors in the water jacket!!!

    Could i replace the water deflectors in my water jackets from rubber tubing from a hardware store? Any special tubing/rubber for the application? Thanks

    1985 150hp Head Gasket/water Deflector Replacment

    Do i need to pull the head cover (the plate that the spark plugs crew into) to take off the head itself? I need to replace a head gasket, water deflectors and clean the water jackets. I'm trying to avoid buying the head cover gasket! I have a Clymers manual but it's not clear! Please help....
